CAPTRAIN France carries out its first worksite for RATP

Works

In 2018, CAPTRAIN France was one of five railway companies selected by RATP for a 36-month framework agreement for locomotive driving and rental services. CAPTRAIN France, which had won the first consultation of the agreement holders, carried out maintenance work for 4 months in early 2018 on the two eastern branches of the RER A, from Vincennes to Marne-la-Vallée or Boissy-Saint-Léger.
CAPTRAIN France provided RATP 3 BB400 locomotives and 3 drivers for 5 nights a week. These engines caught our client’s attention thanks to their tunnel approval, a real added value for a site of this type. The work was carried out several metres underground, with reduced working intervals to minimise inconvenience to the many passengers using this busy line. In short, a site that requires flawless logistics to transport and evacuate 500 tonnes of ballast per night.
To win this contract, CAPTRAIN France was able to make the most of the professionalism and availability of its well-trained teams who are experienced in this type of work. The reliability of our engines, which guarantee optimal coverage of the site, and a competitive price were also decisive factors. Satisfied with the quality of our services on this site, we also called in reinforcements for “spot” operations as required by the RATP.
