Each and every day we seek to further our growth dynamic both in France and beyond, always striving to excel in all that we do.
Teams at CAPTRAIN France are mutually supportive, fun to be with and proud of what they do. We believe in the importance of collectiveness in order to reach the highest heights!
We do everything we can to further your development: integration, attentiveness to your needs, a hands-on & caring management style, a respectful work environment, personalized coaching & support, relevant training, etc.
We believe in the value of diversity and we thus welcome all people who are interested in working in the railway sector, whatever their background, age or gender. Every year, we recruit and train between 100 and 150 new members of staff. We are delighted and proud to welcome new people on board and to actively participate in supporting the local labour market!
Blending hands-on practical training and theory input, CAPTRAIN France bears the full cost of your training to become a train driver or ground safety operator along with all other associated expenses (accommodation, meals, travel). From day 1 of your training you have the security of an open-ended work contract and receive a set remuneration throughout your learning journey.
All members of our staff are offered opportunities to develop their careers with CAPTRAIN France. Our monthly mobility bulletin enables all members of staff to look ahead to the future and to trust their instinct with regard to professional and/or geographic mobility. Furthermore, operators who display leadership capabilities will always be considered for management posts.
Every day on the French national rail network, some 15 000 trains enable people to get around and companies to transport their goods (e.g. cereals, consumer goods, etc.) in complete safety and in an environment-friendly way.
And because for us, performance is also measured in ecological terms, we are proud to contribute to the construction of a greener world by providing our clients with transport solutions that are not only more efficient but also cleaner, providing a realistic alternative to road transport.
This credo motivates all of our decisions and provides the justification for our corporate mission statement:

Train driver for 4 years on a contract in Ile de France, I then took the place of Railway Operations Manager, with my knowledge of this traffic.
After 4 years in the management of this client contract, CAPTRAIN France offered me the position of National Operations Manager in the Operations Department of CAPTRAIN France.
My mission now is to ensure the proper functioning of all of our traffic, coordinate the various entities, manage production contingencies and quickly find alternative solutions.

From theory lessons to driving simulator sessions, I work with several groups of trainee drivers during their learning process. Another part of my job involves reworking and enhancing the initial program.
Why did I become a Trainer? A mentor at heart, I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience, an aspect of my work that I first discovered when trainees were assigned to travel with me back when I was a driver.
Coming from the very first training session in 2007, I participated in the opening of the Corbehem (2007), Dunkirk (2008) sites, then led works trains in Toulouse and Lyon for the Suite Rapide (2010) . In 2011, I had the opportunity to join the training course to become a Conduct Manager. I ensure that drivers’ knowledge is maintained by providing online support. As a business referent, I may need to answer technical questions from drivers.
The rhythm of my life is dictated by my trips out to worksites that can last anything from 6 weeks to several months. Since I travel all over France, this job gives me the opportunity to discover lots of new places.
